Gifts for Teenagers

When a teenaged girl turns Sweet
Sixteen, one of the first things on her mind is getting her driver's
license.
What a tremendous time to be turning 16 for a
young woman. Cell phones, I-Pods, Blackberries, MTV, My Space,
Instant Messaging and a myriad of other interests occupy a great
deal of a teenage girls time. Turning 16 is exciting for a lot of
reasons, but we are pretty sure if you asked most sixteen year old
girls what they were looking forward to most – they would say
“getting my driver’s license.”
When our teen aged daughter turned 15, she counted the days until
she could get her permit. She took driver's education, passed her
written test with colors and, when she turned 16, got her license.
Exactly one week later she put her father's car in a nearby ditch.
Thankfully she wasn't injured, but it got us to thinking about how
well she was prepared for just such occasions.
As parent’s, grandparent’s, aunts and uncles we understand (and
perhaps remember) how exciting and liberating this event is – but we
also want to feel that our loved ones are safe on the road. Granted,
there is only so much you can do to ensure they are safe, but we’ve
discovered an item that has all the practical essentials that a
young gal would need if she became stranded on the road – The
Roadside Safety Bag for Gals.

The Roadside Safety Bag is a chic travel sized tote and inside are all the most often needed roadside
safety items that people use: Jumper Cables – someone should show
her the basics of how to use these, Gloves – to protect her hands
from the elements when she needs to leave the car, Flashlight
(batteries included to light her way if she should ever become
stranded), Call Police Distress Sign, First Aid Kit (filled with
band aids, antiseptic wipes and much more), Rain Poncho (again for
protection from the elements), Aluminum Blanket (will help retain
body heat if she ever runs out of gas and needs to stay warm) and a
tin of Mirror Mints – not a necessity to adults, but certainly a
necessity to sixteen year old girls that want to make sure that
their breath is fresh and their lip gloss hasn’t smeared - even when
she's stranded!
Giving her a Roadside Safety Bag on her 16th Birthday shows her that
you recognize that she’s on her way to becoming an adult but that
you still care about her safety and want to make sure that she’s
safe on the road. She’ll be thrilled with the gift and will silently
thank you for it anytime that she needs to retrieve an item from her
handy bag.
